Itinerary

day 1: cape town to sedgefield / canoe trip at wilderness 

We start this 4 days in Garden Route trip, traveling along the N2 to Wilderness for a canoe trip down tranquil rivers and a short hike to a waterfall. Continue to Sedgefield for the night.

  • Route & Travel: Cape Town to Sedgefield ±500 km (±6 hrs)
  • Accommodation: Cape to Addo Backpacker House/Lodge (or similar)

day 2: sedgefield to jeffreys bay

Drive through Knysna to the Crags. You can choose between an Elephant Bush Walk at a sanctuary or a visit to Monkeyland Primate Sanctuary. Experience the Bloukrans Bungy Jump, world’s highest commercial Bungy Jump. Then walk through Tsitsikamma National Park to Storms River swing bridges before heading to Jeffreys Bay.

day 3: jeffreys bay to addo elephant national park

Choose between exploring Jeffreys Bay’s surf shops and beaches or a morning game drive at Addo Elephant National Park, home to the Big 5 and the highest concentration of African elephants. Return to Sedgefield, stopping at Knysna Heads if time allows.

Travel over the Outeniqua Mountains to Oudtshoorn. Visit the Cango Caves for an adventure or standard tour, or an Endangered Wildlife Sanctuary. Return to Cape Town via scenic Route 62 through the Klein Karoo.
